Google established it’s Partner Program as a tiered membership service that incentivizes continuing education through a rewards-based protocol. The paths to Google partnership are structured using skill-based examinations that account strategists are required to complete to refine their proficiency. Furthermore, Google ensures strategists proactively maintain account health and upkeep through insight-based recommendations provided on a periodic schedule. Recommendations set a base-level of knowledge that can be helpful to agencies, and in particular, for those who are more junior members of a team. It is necessary to maintain the health of your account as Google requires a minimum optimization score of 70% to keep Partner status – however you’re in control, with the ability to apply or dismiss recommendations based on your own assessment and your clients’ goals.
